Thanks immensely for all the generous support that allowed Team Zappa to get to the start and finish line of Iditarod 2014. We made it in 47th place on our first try with 14 healthy, happy dogs in Nome!
Musicians United to Protect Bristol Bay
We met the folk singer, Si Kahn at Salmonstock in Ninilchik in 2013, he was immediately on board with mushing for Bristol Bay. Co-founder Suzanne Little even arranged a send-off concert at Tap Root in Anchorage for us! These folks have been so amazing!
This was the most surprising sponsorship I received. Just days before the start I received a call from Togo Run, a health public relations company out of New York City. They wanted to sponsor a rookie who exemplified the spirit of Lenard Seppala's leader, Togo. Not only was it an honor to carry the legendary name, Togo Run also launched a Twitter campaign to promote my Iditarod run and donate funds to local animal shelters.
While the concept of condiments for your dog sounded strange to me at first, we are happy to say we found an excellent partner and sponsor with this company. I added Petchup to my dog's food through training and racing and it undoubtably contributed to my team's overall great health.
Designer Deborah Ives has been a key sponsor and amazing friend to us. Her gear is warm, light, durable, beautiful and all custom made right in Ninilchik, AK!
Mom & Grandma
Both of these awesome ladies have helped immensely with my fundraising and I couldn't do it without their support!
Snug Harbor Seafoods
Not only does Snug buy our wild caught salmon in the summer, they also provide salmon trail snacks for the racing season.
Eds Kasilof Seafoods
Our dogs eat 80% salmon in the summer time and it all comes from these guys! Makes for very health and happy doggies!
Randy & Jane Adkins
They provide some top quality trail treats or the big race.
A great friend from school and hometown supporter!
Some totally delicious, ultra energizing, and super healthy trail snacks that got me to Nome!
